From the first step to the sittning with your family.

Every step has a reason. None of them is random.

Step 15 min

Create your profile

Tell us about yourself, your deen, what you do for work and what you look for in a partner. Photos are optional and hidden by default. No social media is linked. Just honest answers.

You answer questions about your background, your values and what you are looking for. Everything another Muslim needs to decide whether you are a fit, without judging appearance.

✅
Step 2Instant

Your profile is safety-checked

An automatic safety check confirms the profile is genuine and safe, and is usually approved right away. This is why Zawji has no fake profiles.

Every profile is checked automatically for authenticity and safety and is usually activated immediately. Only unclear cases are reviewed by a person.

🔍
Step 3You choose with care

You browse and send interest

You see profiles based on city, age, sect and lifestyle. You choose with care, not on impulse. This is not Tinder.

You can filter by city, age, ethnicity, sect and more. Found someone who seems right? Send a request. Every request counts: this is meant to be serious, not swipe culture.

💬
Step 4Auto-filter + reports

Private chat with clear rules

If you both show interest, a private chat opens. An auto-filter blocks private numbers, photos and off-platform recruiting right away, and you can report problems. Only serious questions about deen, values and the future.

The purpose of the chat is to decide whether you want to involve family, not to "get to know each other" forever. An automatic filter blocks private numbers right away, and you can report problems. Admins do not read the chats.

Why this way? The Prophet ♂︎ said that a man and a woman should not be alone together without a mahram. A private, protected chat is the digital equivalent. The automatic filter and your reports keep you safe.

Step 5You decide when

Family joins when it gets serious

When you feel the person could be the one, you share the contact details of your wali (your guardian: father, brother or uncle). The brother contacts the wali directly. A sittning (a formal meeting with the family) is arranged.

You never introduce anyone to your family unless you already know it is a fit. That is the whole point of the four earlier steps.

For sisters: You do not have to name a wali when you register. You share your wali's details only when YOU are ready. No pressure. No time pressure. Your safety comes first.
