1. About the service

Zawji is a halal matchmaking platform for Muslims in Sweden and the wider Nordic region. Free to join, browse, show interest and reply. The chat opens with Premium — the same price for sisters and brothers, and whichever of you buys opens it for both. Sisters send interests with no monthly cap; brothers without Premium send 5 a month, and one friend with a profile unlocks unlimited.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. You must be Muslim and be seeking marriage in a halal manner. By registering you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Code of conduct

As a member you agree to:

  • Provide truthful and accurate information in your profile
  • Treat all members with respect and adab
  • Follow Islamic principles in all communication
  • Keep all messages respectful — an auto-filter blocks numbers, photos and off-platform recruitment, and you can report problems (admins do not read conversations)
  • Not share other members' information with anyone outside the platform
  • Not use the service for inappropriate or haram purposes

4. Messages and moderation

Auto-filter blocks private phone numbers and photos directly in the chat, and you can report problems. Admins do not read your conversations. The chat opens with Premium — monthly, a year or lifetime — the same prices for sisters and brothers, and whoever buys opens it for both. If you invite three friends who activate their profiles, you get an extra free chat (up to three), open for seven days from when you have both written. Free chats that were already open follow the same seven-day rule. When the time is up you can still read what you wrote, and the chat continues when either of you buys Premium. When a sister is ready to move toward a sittning (meeting), she can share her wali's contact details — the brother then contacts the wali himself. Wali involvement is welcome, but not required to chat.

5. Match limits

Sisters send interest with no monthly cap. Brothers without Premium can send interest to 5 profiles per calendar month. The purpose of the difference: Sisters are fewer than brothers on Zawji. Unlimited interests for sisters give brothers more replies. The chat costs the same for sisters and brothers. One friend who activates their profile and writes an about-me unlocks unlimited interests. Three friends earn an extra free chat. Premium can only be bought. Beyond that, the chat needs Premium (monthly, a year or lifetime). With Premium there is no interest limit, and replying to interest you receive is always free. Zawji reserves the right to limit activity that abuses the service.

6. Payment, Premium and right of withdrawal

Premium is sold as monthly, a year or lifetime. Monthly is 499 kr (SEK) and renews until you cancel. If we change the price, only new purchases pay the new price — a running subscription renews at the price you signed up at. A year (1 499 kr) and lifetime (4 999 kr) are one-time. The old single-chat unlock (229 kr) and 90-day pass (699 kr) are no longer sold; purchases already made stay valid. The chat opens with the same Premium for sisters and brothers. Prices are shown incl. VAT and Stripe emails a receipt after every payment.

Right of withdrawal — 14 days on every purchase. Under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (2005:59) you as a consumer have 14 days to change your mind on a distance purchase. That applies to monthly, a year and lifetime. At checkout you ask for Premium to start right away. If you change your mind within 14 days of buying, you therefore get back what you paid minus the days you have used (Chapter 2, Section 14). A day is counted like this: monthly = the price / 30, a year = the price / 365, and lifetime = the same daily price as a year (the year price / 365,4.11 kr a day). Example: withdraw from lifetime after 5 days and we deduct 5 × 4.11 = 20.53 kr, so you get back 4,999 − 20.53 = 4,978.47 kr. Email hej@zawji.se within 14 days of the purchase and we refund within 14 days; Premium closes when the refund is made. For monthly, also: if you were charged for a renewal before you had time to cancel, email us within 14 days of that charge and we refund it in full.

7. Your account is personal

Your account — including any Premium — is tied to you and may not be sold, bought, rented, or transferred to anyone else, wherever that happens, including on social media. We detect this automatically (among other things, by identifying if a profile photo suddenly belongs to a different person) and suspend the account without a refund if it occurs.

8. Profile and approval

Profiles are activated after an automatic check. Unclear cases may be reviewed. We reserve the right to reject, pause or remove profiles that violate these terms or Islamic principles.

9. Limitation of liability

Zawji is a matchmaking service that facilitates introductions. We do not guarantee the outcome of any match. We are not liable for inaccurate information provided by members. We are not responsible for actions that take place outside the platform.

10. Termination

You may at any time request that your account be closed and your data deleted. We reserve the right to close accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are notified by email. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are settled in Swedish courts.
